LAMB DOYLES, Dun Laoghaire, Ireland. DA 2006
Work for Ashlin Coleman Architects, Dublin. This up-market residential complex of three buildings has two storey underground car park, retail space and a pub. Penthouses are overlooking a tranquil, semi-rural valley and Dublin Bay in a distance. Lamb Doyles is the name of a local pub with a rich history and fame, recently slightly forgotten. This old, but non-listed property was the subject of this careful revitalisation. The function of the pub was retained and made visually dominant, the business was re-branded. Design team: Paul Van Niekerk, Lubo Okruhlica, Katka Stanova.
